These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of electrical services by Ingot Electrics (ABN 59 407 552 751) ("we", "us", "our") to customers ("you", "the customer"). By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
All quotes are provided in writing and represent the agreed price for the specified scope of work. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
If variations to the agreed scope are required (for example, due to concealed wiring conditions not visible at the time of quoting), we will advise you in writing before proceeding with any additional work. No additional charges will be incurred without your written or verbal approval.
Callout rates apply as stated in your quote. Hourly rates apply from the time of arrival at the property.
You agree to provide safe and adequate access to the property and work areas at the agreed time. If access cannot be provided, a cancellation fee may apply (see clause 4).
We will make reasonable efforts to complete work within the timeframe indicated. Delays caused by factors outside our control (including concealed conditions, third-party supply delays, or weather) will be communicated promptly.
Payment is due on completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. For larger projects, a deposit of up to 30% may be required before commencement, with the balance due on completion.
Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, credit/debit card, and cash. Invoices unpaid after 14 days may attract a late payment fee of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.
Ownership of any materials or equipment supplied remains with Ingot Electrics until full payment is received.
We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment without charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may attract a cancellation fee equal to the standard callout rate.
We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to operational requirements and will provide as much notice as possible in such cases.
All electrical work carried out by Ingot Electrics is warranted against defects in workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. This warranty does not cover:
Manufacturer warranties apply separately to any materials or equipment we supply and install.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit your rights under the ACL.
Certificates of Electrical Safety (CES) are issued for all notifiable work as required by Victorian law. The CES confirms that the work was carried out by or under the supervision of a licenced electrical worker and tested at the time of completion. It does not constitute a warranty against future failure of existing installations unrelated to our work.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss or damage arising from the provision of services is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from our services or any failure of materials or equipment beyond our reasonable control.
If asbestos or other hazardous materials are encountered during the course of work, we reserve the right to stop work immediately and refer the matter to a licensed assessor. Additional costs associated with hazardous material management are not included in standard quotes and will be discussed with you before proceeding.
In the event of a dispute, we ask that you contact us directly in the first instance to resolve the matter. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be referred to Consumer Affairs Victoria or the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria for any disputes arising under these Terms.
