A Warrandyte homeowner renovating their property wanted one trusted local electrician to handle every part of the electrical works — from the lighting through to a safer switchboard. The scope covered new downlighting across the living areas, updated bathroom lighting, ceiling fans, sensor and outdoor lights, a switchboard upgrade, and fresh switches and powerpoints throughout.
Living-area lighting — LED downlights were set out across the open-plan living, dining and kitchen, including the raked timber-lined ceiling. All fittings are fire-rated and IC-rated for the insulated cavity, with the kitchen zone on its own dimmable circuit for mood lighting when entertaining.
Bathroom — The renovated bathroom was fitted with crisp downlighting and LED demister mirrors, giving even, shadow-free light over the vanity and a clean, modern finish.
Ceiling fans — Fans were installed through the bedrooms and living area, plus a weather-rated fan in the covered alfresco for summer. Each was wired to its own wall control with separate light and speed switching.
Switchboard upgrade — The ageing board was replaced with a modern switchboard carrying an individual RCBO safety switch on every circuit, a clearly labelled directory, and full RCD protection — with headroom for the new circuits.
Outdoor lights & fit-off — Sensor-activated lights were added to the driveway and rear entertaining areas, and all switches and powerpoints were replaced with a matching plate series for a consistent finish.
The work was completed over two days with minimal disruption — power stayed on except for planned outages during the switchboard change-over — and a Certificate of Electrical Safety was issued on completion.
“Brock walked us through the whole process. Nothing was a problem. The work completed looks amazing. Highly recommend.” — Dean G., Warrandyte
