Are you a licensed electrician?

Yes. Ingot Electrics is fully licensed and insured to carry out residential and commercial electrical work throughout Melbourne — Registered Electrical Contractor REC-35832.

Do you provide Certificates of Electrical Safety (COES)?

Yes. Where required under Victorian regulations, a Certificate of Electrical Safety is provided upon completion of the work.

How much do you charge?

Pricing varies depending on the scope of work, materials required, and site conditions. We provide upfront quotes so you know the cost before any work begins.

Do you offer free quotes?

Yes. We offer free quotes for most residential and commercial electrical work.

What areas do you service?

We're based in Greensborough and primarily service Melbourne's north-east. We also cover the wider northern, eastern, western and south-eastern suburbs on a case-by-case basis — if you're not sure whether we reach you, just ask.

Can you install ceiling fans?

Yes. We install new ceiling fans, replace existing fans, and can add fan/light combinations.

Can you install additional power points?

Absolutely. We install new power points, USB outlets, outdoor power points, dedicated appliance circuits, and workshop outlets.

Do you install LED downlights?

Yes. We supply and install energy-efficient LED downlights and can upgrade your existing lighting to LED.

Can you upgrade switchboards?

Yes. We carry out switchboard upgrades, safety switch (RCD/RCBO) installations, and replacement of outdated electrical equipment.

What should I do if my safety switch keeps tripping?

A tripping safety switch usually indicates a fault within a circuit or appliance. We can inspect, test and identify the cause to restore safe operation — don't keep resetting it without finding the cause.

Do you perform fault finding?

Yes. We specialise in electrical fault finding, including power outages, tripping circuits, faulty wiring, lighting issues, and intermittent electrical faults.

Can you install electric vehicle (EV) chargers?

Yes. We can assess your electrical system and install EV charging solutions for your home or business.

Do you offer emergency electrical services?

Yes. If you've lost power, have exposed wiring, or another urgent electrical issue, contact us and we'll do our best to assist promptly. After-hours help is available.

Are your installations compliant with Australian Standards?

Yes. All work is carried out in accordance with applicable Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000) and Victorian electrical regulations.
